Pearl (2022)

The Story

Before Pearl was an elderly psychopath, she was a sweet young girl with aspirations of being a star. Her story is set in 1918 on her family farm in Texas, where she lives with her paralyzed father and strict mother. Pearl attends an audition for a dance troupe but is rejected for not being blonde and “all American.” The pain of rejection pushes Pearl into a psychotic rage, which she take out on her family.
