The annual Orlando International Film Festival (OIFF) is put together by the University of Central Florida’s Nicholson School of Communication and Media. The festival screens feature-length and short films created by filmmakers from around the world. Beyond films, programming includes panel discussions and Q&A sessions. The Orlando International Film Festival also works with Lions Club International to host a summer camp for children to learn about film and media.

This page has information for the 2023 OIFF. Read more general information about the OIFF here, https://jennyclairesunshine.com/orlando-international-film-festival/.

The 2023 will take place July 13-16.

LocationS

Screenings for the Orlando International Film Festival take place at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication and Media campus, located in downtown Orlando.

UCF Nicholson CMB
500 W Livingston Street
Orlando, FL 32801
(407) 682-6744

The virtual screenings will be available online, at https://watch.eventive.org/oiff2023

 Notable Screenings

The OIFF screens features and shorts by filmmakers from the US and other countries.  The lineup of films appear to have a theme of death and despair, and perhaps this is a reflection of our post-pandemic life and current dispute (war) between Ukraine and Russia.

Special Events

In addition to feature-length and short films, programming at the OIFF includes the following panels and special events.

  • Welcome Ceremony
  • Legal Issue Panel
  • Filmmaker Q&A
  • Woken Word Filmmaker Panel
  • Awards Program
  • Banquet, Entertainment, and More
