The Story
Polite Society is a 2023 British-Pakistani action comedy film about two sisters, Ria and Lena Khan, who will do anything to protect each other. Ria is a teenage martial artist who dreams of becoming a movie stuntwoman, while Lena is an artist who has dropped out of art school and moved back in with their parents. When Lena agrees to marry Salim, a wealthy and successful geneticist, Ria is convinced that there is something sinister about him. She enlists the help of her friends Clara and Alba to spy on Salim and stop the wedding.
Polite Society is a celebration of sisterhood and the power of women to support each other. It is a film that will make you laugh, cry, and cheer for the two sisters as they fight for their independence.
