The Story

In the polarized American society, extremist groups are on the rise. This documentary portrays three Proud Boys, Trump’s violent henchmen, who took part in the storm on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Audiences learn about their individual backgrounds and their different motives. Beyond anger, the three people portrayed have no common denominator. Homegrown aims to give insight into 21st century far-right extremism in America.
