John Dies at the End (2012)

Dave’s best friend John gets ahold of a drug they call “soy sauce” which gives them supernatural powers, like being able to predict what others will say and seeing people and things that others can’t. They eventually find themselves in an alternate Earth and then escape back to their world and become exorcist and demon hunters. The story is told by Dave, who is recounting the tale to a journalist hoping that his story will be told to the world.
