Theater Camp (2023)

The Story

Children have been spending their summers at Adorond Act Theater Camp to develop their acting craft for decades. The camp is now run-down and in financial ruin, and founder Joan Rubinsky is in a coma. Her son comes in this summer to lead the camp, and he’s struggling to fill his mother’s shoes.

Camp still goes on, with kids learning dances and how to work a spotlight. The kids have their own dramas outside of class, as do the counselors. Two top counselors Amos and Rebecca-Diane have a complicated, codependent friendship that might have run its course if they don’t work out their differences.

Will the camp be shuttered before showtime? Will Joan wake up to see the show?
