Playing This Week: National Anthem, Touch, Dandelion

Sure minions and tornadoes are fun, but there are a few indie movies playing at our Regals this week you might want to check out.

In National Anthem, young Dylan is dealing with a go-nowhere job and an alcoholic mother, and he joins an offbeat group of ranchers and rodeo performers who help him on his life journey. It’s Western LGBT  Bildungsroman. Dare you to say that three times fast. (Royal, Ocala)

Touch is in our theaters for another week, and if you haven’t seen it already, get your tickets. Upon receiving advice from his doctor to “tie up loose ends,” Kristófer leaves his life in Iceland to find his long-lost Japanese girlfriend. (Butler)

In Dandelion, a young singer-songwriter struggling with her professional career, and family drama, goes on to South Dakota for a music event where she finds happiness and even more drama. Beautiful music, beautiful landscapes. (Royal)

In paranormal horror Oddity, a blind medium and shopkeeper seeks answers to the death of her sister using a wooden mannequin. (Butler, Royal, Ocala)

Also — Maxxxine looks to only have a few showings this week, which means it might not be around for long. (Butler, Royal, Ocala)

Same goes for Horizon. Pair this with National Anthem for a nice double-Western day. (Butler,  Ocala)

Make sure to double-check all details on the official Regal Cinema website. Details about films at the Hipp can be found on the official Hippodrome site. This list will be updated if more movies we are excited about get scheduled.
